Glitch Blend Mode
The Glitch blend mode introduces digital artifacts and channel separation, breaking two emojis into a corrupted mashup. It is one of 8 blend modes available in Emoji Kitchen, alongside Fusion, Ghost, Split, Surround, Mirror, Swap, Pulse. The gallery currently features 4 curated Glitch combinations: 🔥💧 Steam, 🎮👾 Game Glitch, 🏆⭐ Champion, 🧲⚡ Magnetic. Each one started as a simple pair of emojis from the 317+ emoji library, so everything you see here can be recreated — and then remixed — in a few clicks. To use the Glitch mode yourself, open the Emoji Kitchen editor, choose a base emoji and a second emoji to layer on top, and select Glitch from the blend mode picker; the mashup renders instantly in your browser with no sign-up and no uploads. Glitch tends to work best when the two source emojis have contrasting shapes or colors, since the mode's effect is most visible when each glyph stays partially readable. If the result is not quite right, switching to another mode keeps the same emoji pair, making it easy to compare all eight treatments side by side before exporting.
