Split Blend Mode
The Split blend mode divides the canvas so each emoji occupies one half, creating a clean two-faced composition. It is one of 8 blend modes available in Emoji Kitchen, alongside Fusion, Ghost, Surround, Mirror, Swap, Pulse, Glitch. The gallery currently features 3 curated Split combinations: 🤖💀 Robot Skull, 😱😍 Love Shock, 😈😇 Devil Angel. Each one started as a simple pair of emojis from the 317+ emoji library, so everything you see here can be recreated — and then remixed — in a few clicks. To use the Split mode yourself, open the Emoji Kitchen editor, choose a base emoji and a second emoji to layer on top, and select Split from the blend mode picker; the mashup renders instantly in your browser with no sign-up and no uploads. Split tends to work best when the two source emojis have contrasting shapes or colors, since the mode's effect is most visible when each glyph stays partially readable. If the result is not quite right, switching to another mode keeps the same emoji pair, making it easy to compare all eight treatments side by side before exporting.
